Fee Structure and Costs
When we initially review your legal needs with you, we will discuss one of two possible approaches to our compensation for attorneys fees and court costs:

Contingency Fee Cases

In personal injury, medical malpractice and most worker's compensation cases, our firm represents injured and disabled clients on a contingency fee bases. This means that our fee is a percentage of what we recover for you. No fee is charged for initial consultation or subsequent work unless and until we recover money to compensate you for your losses. Costs are advanced on behalf of the client and are payable, interest free, at conclusion. The contingency fee basis of compensation provides the lawyer with the purest form of incentive to get results -- the more money he obtains for the client, the more he earns for himself. It also provides the incentive to resolve the case in a prompt and efficient fashion. In some instances it gives certain clients who could not otherwise afford an attorney the "keys to the Courthouse".

Reasonable Fees On All Other Cases

All other legal matters are handled on an hourly fee basis or a project quote basis. We discuss the details of this prior to beginning our work, formalize our agreement in writing and provide the client with regular itemized billing statements. In some cases, we require retainer fees to be paid which we hold in our firm trust account, pending completion of the work. We are sensitive to the high cost of legal services and have organized our firm to be streamlined, efficient and price-competitive. We strive to achieve superior results without "overlawyering or overspending." We appreciate the confidence that our clients demonstrate in our firm when they entrust their legal work to us. We work hard to keep the overall economics of the case in good perspective.
